I have lost the original connection diagram for my Kenmore dryer. ( Don't ask ) The motor has 3 leads. ( orange, yellow and black ) If I connect one side of 120VAC to the orange lead and the other side of 120VAC to both the yellow and black leads , the motor starts running. According to a diagram I have for another Kenmore , either the yellow or black lead is disconnected by a switch which is activated by rotational inertia ( RI ) from the spinning motor. Since this RI switch has been worn out, I was going to switch off the appropriate lead once once a hall effect device detected shaft rotation for 1 second. What I don't know is how to determine which lead I should switch off. Black/orange shows 2.7 ohms Yellow/orange shows 2 ohms Best Gus -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
