Greeting Bob, I feel sad that your MJ is broken. I have mine constantly located on top of my desktop by a good quality USB extension cable, the short cable comes in the package works but is not a high quality cable. The one comes with my USB thumb drive is longer, more flexible and has less voltage drop. My desktop only gets USB on the back of the panel, so use a longer cable seem working better than the original cable. Actually you may contact magicJackonline support, I have send a private email to you with all the info we collected. Let us know what do you find. For the moment, there is only online support available from magicJack. I hope they can improve their service better with such a good product concept. I personally think it is one of the few voice communication innovation I haven't seen for many years. Even not count the three major highlights:, a USA phone number, the price, and voice quality it provides. Funny N. Unfortunately, my MJ fell out of its flash port and hit the floor, and I have not replaced it, nor have I located a place to send it for repair or replacement. Any ideas, Funny? Before I dropped it, the service was exemplary, much better than Vonage. --Bob A Funny NYPD wrote: > There are always pros and cons on VOIP.
