I believe what Jan-Erik is pointing out is that according to the 18LF2520 datasheet the MCLR pin *cannot* be configured as an output. It is either configured as MCLR or as an *Input* - not an Output. See section 4.2 and section 10.5 in the 18LF2520 datasheet.
