hi
i tested the chip- MPlab 5.6 (wich is the latest version i used for 
microchp firmware)
i bougt CCS compiler an saw ICD-S is the same thing as mine. so i 
flashed with the downloadable tool ICDS.exe from CCS a tool wich made 
the "icd-s" work on 16f an 18f devices i have to "switch" the software 
which is loaded in the rom in 16f876.
i tryd "A" version but nothing is working with ICD soft from ccs. i have 
no replacement chip-
or does anybody know firmware for ccs with the 16f876a   or 17Lf876a
which i have an can burn.
