That never crossed my mind, but now you mention it.... :: As for the "washtub with plunger" do you mean a symbol like this: :: [- Yes except the 'plunger' has a bar going top to bottom of the page, and the 'sides' of the 'bin' are higher so that the 'plunger' is about a quarter way inside the receptacle. In fact I've just realised where I've seen something similar before, on electrical drawings showing connections and contactor type switches.
