The reason they want to interface to the systems that are already there is just that ... they are already there, and it will save them an hour each day NOT having to drag in and instal their own each time they put a system in a dairy. I may not have explained it properly earlier, but they put their system into a dairy for only a day or two, to do their testing ... then take it out and go to the next dairy. To just walk in .. plug their 'interface' into the dairy system .. and then go about their job has the potential to save them an enormous amount of time in setting up, as well as not having to have such an investment in equipment.
