I think we all guessed that, but the real point is we shouldn't have to
guess in the first place.  Especially on such a international list, it's a
bad idea to use offhand abbreviations like this that aren't very widely
standardized.  There are many common names for such software, like "source
code control system", "version control system", "revision control system",
etc, etc.  Assuming everyone else knows what you mean by using the first
three letter of one of them is naive at best.
