Hi Guys, I've been reading this list on and off for a long time, and I notice that most requests for help with basic coding problems end up with a heap of pointed and often rude comments about how badly the code is presented . and how the OP should learn how to code properly first. The chicken and the egg question comes to mind here. In most instances the issue is clearly not the OP's lack of abilty to lay out their code correctly within their chosen programming editor . rather the messing up of the formatting at various stages, when copying and pasting into an email, to be able to ask their questions. So for those of you who get most offended at the poor formatting of code examples . is there a procedure for entering our code examples so they display correctly without losing their formatting . and so that any of our legitimate calls for help are not misdirected at our lack of ability to present our code properly .. rather than provide the really simple answer that most of you could give. . and if there is not . can you please write one, so that whenever this issue comes up . you can politely point us to the procedure . and problem solved. Then if there are still issues . get as sarcastic as you like if that makes you feel any better. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Regards, Roger Ps. I have some questions to ask . but I wouldn't dare . at least until I get this bit out of the way. :) -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
