Carl, I recently had a 42" plasma monitor to fix. Branded Sony, but manufactured by LG. The main processor pcb was faulty, with what appeared to be an intermittent BGA connection on the main chip. After several attempts at resoldering, I managed to stuff things completely and needed a new pcb. I was quoted over $NZ600 for the replacement part. Luckily I managed to find a second-hand one for $100 and it's been working ever since. The company I bought it off are in Auckland but advertise extensively on Ebay Malaysia. I tracked them down through Google using the pcb part number. I can send you their email address if you want to make enquiries.
