These machines are inside the laboratory where there is no live internet access to the outside world. Not even to any other internal network so no malware can break out of this jail. You are not even allowed to bring any laptop or wireless devices, bluetooth has to be turned off on your mobile, no hard drive, CD.DVD or USB etc allowed either... this is the only way we can protect our customers and ourselves against an unfortunate accident. The production machines do have access to the outer world but those are outside of this lab, totally sealed off from this contaminated area. To be able to work inside the lab with these computers we have the KVM system so the screen, keyboard and the mouse can be accessed from inside.
