Hi, folks, I have to establish a bidirectional (!) communication between a laptop with USB port and a printer with 8-Bit-parallel port. Usually I would buy a ready made USB-LPT-converter, but I have to alter some of the transmitted data in a specific way. So I thought of building such a USB-LPT converter by using an USB-PIC. Has anybody done this before? Any starting information for me?
