Very likely. You don't mention what codec your camcorder records in. I'll assume you're using windows, so at a first stab, try downloading the k-lite codec pack, I've had great success running h264 content on my atom based lappy with that pack. > b) graphic card issue? You're laptop very unlikely, assuming it's not software. For the desktop, the easiest upgrade is a new video hard with HARDWARE support for the codec you are trying to view, again, assuming it's not software.
