Bandwidth and sampling rate are not neccessarily tied to each other, so different scopes will have different correspondences between them, and if you are measuring a repetitive waveform you can have a slow sampling rate and still yield good results(assuming a quality instrument). I have a scope here with the same sampling rate as bandwidth and another with five times the sampling rate as bandwidth.
