Bought NZ new from Dick Smith Electronics late March 2009. Excellent
condition (see Q&A).

This A200 is the best offer going because:

- All digital cameras ultimately die.
More than 4 years & 6 months from now this camera & lens will STILL have
full NZ warranty cover. Most cameras on trademe have either no warranty, or
part of 1 year remaining, or just sometimes 3 years. 5 years is extremely
rare. Also - even 1 year warranties on grey market may not be worth much in
NZ.

But this camera is almost new - and you are guaranteed over 4 years & 6
months use :-). As a bonus, the repairer's "repair or replace" option means
you may get a brand new later-model camera if this one dies 4 years from now
:-).

- Either way, it will outlast the warranty for new cameras with 3 year
warranty.

Includes Sony DT 18-70mm, f/3.5-5.6 lens and all material that came with it
originally (cables, charger, battery etc).

Image quality & "Megapixel madness":

More megapixels may not mean better quality photos. In demanding real world
conditions the A200 provides equal-best image quality of any of Sony's
current APSC sized sensor cameras. (All the following Sony cameras use
essentially the same sensor and take the same quality of photos: A200, A230,
A300, A330.) (The A700 is superior but is being discontinued.)

BUT the higher megapixel A350 & A380 actually take noisier & inferior in all
except bright light conditions.

Refer to detailed competent tests at eg www.dpreview.com to confirm the
above. DP-Reviews are hard but fair. Compare their conclusions with other
models and brands.
