> All the ones I've got here seem to be the same flex as everything else And what size is that? Most (though sadly not all) flex has it's CSA = printed on the outer sheath. 0.75mm=B2 flex is rated for 6A and 1.0mm=B2 = flex is rated for 10A. I've seen a lot of IEC Male-female leads with = 0.75mm=B2 too (which I personally consider dodgy since in that = configuration there is no fuse). Note that it's pretty hard to visually tell the difference between = 0.75mm=B2 and 1.0mm=B2, with cables that size variations in insulation = thickness can make considerablly more difference than variations in CSA. If you plan to draw more than 6A through an IEC connector in europe (I = dunno what the situation is with american cable types and voltage) you = need to carefully check that all the cables are rated to deal with that. = Since users probablly won't do that if I was designing a product for = other people to use I would find some other connector. -- = http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
