LOL, this thread veered off course quickly.  I was looking for a character
LCD for my cheap, quick dirty debugging display.  I have some graphical LCDs
already, but just want a char display for this.  And I already have char
LCDs, but thought it would be nice to plug in something larger for more
chars.
