{now also with 'PIC' tag} To whom it may concern, Release 0.4 of Jallib is available from the *Downloads* section of the *Jallib* project site, see the links at the bottom of this message. JAL is a high level Pascal-like language for Microchip 8-bits PICmicros. Jallib is a collection of libraries to raise user programming to an even higher level and by the use of device description files virtually independent of the actual target PICmicro. The current Jallib collection contains the following libraries: - Control of external devices: CO2, humidity, keyboard, LCD, realtime clock, ranger, PATA harddisk, temperature. - Language extensions: delay, calendar, data formatting and printing, queues, random numbers. - Peripheral control: ADC, EEPROM, I2C, PWM, Timer, USB. More than 300 PICmicros of the baseline, midrange and 18F series are supported. The download *pack* files contain device files, function libraries, documentation in html format, the latest JalV2 compiler (version 2.4l) and numerous sample programs to help you to understand how to use the libraries and device files. We have also a shared *blog* where we explain how to use jallib, what can be done with it, common pitfalls, etc. This is "work in progress", but you can subscribe to this blog and stay in touch with us and read about our latest adventures :) Have fun, and inform us of your experiences with Jallib!
