Seems to work for me, and lots of other people use it too. He may have said ideal but the real point is that it is a mainstream client, not how "ideal" someone thinks it is. In any case arguing about other people's email clients is just a smoke screen attempting to detract from the real issue, which was that someone put tabs in the source code they asked other to look at.
