The high supply voltage is usually pretty easy to fix.  Just change 
out the 5v6 zener for a 5v1 version.

You will have to make sure that everything else on the board is happy 
with 5v1 supply, though.  In particular, make sure the MOSFETs are 
happy with that level of gate drive (unless there is a gate-driver 
circuit in there that supplies higher than 5V to the gates).
