Put the 5.6V on the base of a NPN with the collector going to the 9V semi-regulated supply. The emitter will be roughly a 5V output with lower impedence than when using just a diode. If I was doing this, I'd probably use a 7805 from the 9V supply. Be careful if you're making a 5V supply just on the daughter board though. The input signals could still be 5.6V, which would need to be clipped. ******************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, http://www.embedinc.com/products (978) 742-9014.
