You can attach a picture, but the limit is 40 Kbytes for the entire
email, including the attachment. So use your image-fu skillz and see if
you can fit it within that limit. This is what I prefer if the image can
be made to fit. However people who read the list in digest mode or in
the archive won't see it.

The other alternative is to host it somewhere, like maybe your internet
provider gives you personal web space, or some picture hosting service.
Then post the link to it in your email.
