CF is huge compared to the other options, and for most consumers is dead anyways. The only place it still exists is DSLRs, and even most of those now have a secondary SD card slot as an option. For more "prosumer" cameras CF is still the best option due to speed (although the best SD cards come close). All that said, a CF card reader can be made very compact, so if you're lugging around a camera that needs CF (meaning it's big) adding a $5 CF USB reader shouldn't be much of an issue. IMHO.
