:: This circuit makes no sense at all -- there's no way to supply :: current to :: the NPN base. Or, for that matter, to the PNP emitter. Plus, the :: LED is :: backwards (I think). I'm having problems with how I think the circuit should look and what I'm getting from my readings. In fact I'm now having second thoughts on whether this is a BJT or a FET - As I'm getting similar readings - in fact my latest test would put the collector at gnd , but the potential divider would point to the base/gate of the device. Instead of the diode test, I've switched my meter to 200K and get with positive lead on what I think is the base -> emitter 163 ohms, base to collector 162 ohms. With negative on what I think is the emitter I get 86 and 88 ohms, with negative on the collector I get zero to emitter and 163 to base - this is in circuit, so I'm thinking these might be FETs especially as on the diode test reading, I get a reading of 266 between what might be the base and collector after swapping the lead polarity.
