I am quickly running out of ideas here There are three more things worth mentioning = 1 try to program when you have checked the checkbox = "slow mode (to check for timing problems)" on the "interface" tab 2 the wires between pic programmer hardware and pic should be short (less than 10 cm is ideal) 3 there is a reference in the help file about PGC and PGD filtering suggested by Olin Lathrop = file:///C:/Program%20Files/WinPic/html/index.htm#pgd_pgc_filtering that suggests putting two capacitors between 22 and 47 pf near the chip to be programmed and a resistor of 100 ohm between the target pic and the cap.
