It's just that the existing speaker was round, and those triangular mounting ears are going to mean I have to either get the Dremel out, or butcher the case. Ideally I want something the same size and shape as the existing speaker... I've found an 8-ohm 3-inch round paper-cone speaker at a surplus supplier (Bowood Electronics) that has a larger magnet but is still about the same depth and I'm thinking about buying a couple to play with... not least of all because they're selling a few other neat things I want :) Just I'd rather have the exact replacement.. I'm probably not going to find one, though.
