Found a new link http://www.ultrakeet.com/index.php?id=article&name=makepcbs There is a commercial product involved (Pulsar paper and a laminator which are dished in the paper wars thread). There are lots of pictures. I think I can honestly say Holy Cow, I don't believe it. Very inspirational. The link at the end http://www.podecoet.org/ shows that the PCB is for a Remote Engine Start project. -----Original Message----- To: 'piclist@mit.edu' Subject: [EE] Can't get the toner to stick... Some tips : http://www.electro-tech-online.com/general-electronics-chat/94601-diy-toner- transfer-paper-cheap-easy.html http://www.electro-tech-online.com/general-electronics-chat/95167-paper-wars -cheap-magazine-paper-vs-rip-off-proprietary-paper.html Also on instructables, there was some more instructables and threads. One tip was to expose the pcb to etchant (FeCl3) for a few seconds and then rinse the board, it is supposed to create pits onto the surface of the copper that will allow the toner to adhere to the copper. Also http://www.instructables.com/id/Sponge-Ferric-Chloride-Method-Etch-Circuit-B o etching times with a sponge is fast. > >I've tried this a few times and it's not working. I printed my PCB >design onto photo glossy laser paper (will try magazine paper next) and >then I iron it onto the copper board. Some parts stick, but some parts >don't stick at all. > >Any tips? -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
