I dunno, not too many people using Amigas or Atari ST's anymore. Apple
seems to have won that battle. 

And they seem to hang on to their fanbase despite their higher cost.
They don't need to appeal to more than a single digit of market share.
There's plenty of money right there, and it's easy for them.

But everyone knows the TRS-80 model 100 was the ultimate laptop :)
