Just wanted to give a short resume and say thank you for all who gave their
help.

The manufacturer prooved, that there is only a possibility of 8 custom
characters, which is way too less to invert a whole line consting of 40
different characters. Also in fact there is no CGRAM, it should be named
CGROM, there is no way to alter it except by changing the wafer.

So I'll have to live with a blinking star to mark the selection or something
similar or use a graphic LCD. Let's see, may be I'll be back soon to ask
more questions.
