I do like being able to remove the dremel and use it to modify plastics and aluminum for custom enclosures, which you can't do with a drill press. The press just manages to get by for drilling, with like you said, there is too much slop. It's not where near as precise as a real (inexensive even) press. Of course too, the amount of workshop you have available matters too.
