Fill a bowl with water (enough heated to put a finger in it w/o getting burns), add a few drops of liquid soap, mix, put the board + paper in it for a while. You will see when the paper has soaked the water. If you don't, wait some more. When you remove the paper, some fibers will be stuck to the board. This is normal. These fibers can be rubbed off using the thumb.
