Just read this article on BBC News concerning the ability to evesdrop on what someone is typing on their PC by tapping into the data signal on a wired keyboard via earth leakage. I'm not sure why this is thought to be a new discovery, I recall many many years ago a demonstration by a BBC science program of reproducing what a user was doing by tuning in to the signals in the video cable. They uses the same technology that is used in the licence detector vans (more accurately signal detector vans). They could produce a fuzzy but clearly readable 'screenshot' . http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8147534.stm Colin -- cdb, 3/07/2009 -- colin@btech-online.co.uk -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
