So, if your memory window is visible, then you can click the toolbar button forever and nothing will happen. However, if you close the window and want to display it again, you can simply click that button to make it appear. You can also use the configuration dialog to show or hide the memory window. Look on the "Editor" tab for the checkbox at the bottom that says "Show Memory Usage Window."
