I am talking about a basic dryer with no bells and whistles.   You  
push a button to start it and when you open the door it stops.

My dryer has developed a new behaviour ... the motor starts turning  
the drum as soon as I close the door.   I suspect that a centrifugal  
switch on the motor has jammed.   Will something on the motor burn  
out ?  Perhaps a starter coil ?
