>Vitaliy, >Please keep us posted for what you found. Thanks. >That web site just sounds like a "Web edition of Wal-mart" to local mum-papa stores. Those deals really look too good to be true. >Another DX products I saw people discussing on SparkFun forum are Solder machines (ceramic heating element, temperature controlled stations and hot-air stations.), either a clone or over-manufactured Hakko models with only 1/3 to half of the Hakko price. SparkFun also carries some variation of those Hakko clones on its store. >It seems the world is changing fast these days. I have used dealExtreme about half a dozen time thus far. Not spent a lot though. Only catch is shipping ( 3 weeks) unless you take the EMS option ( $18 up I think). I have bought mp3 players, high temp tape, SD cards, SD card readers, solder paste etc. You can get a SD card reader for $1.50 and hack the guts and use the connector on you SD's. With shipping. Beats anything else I found so far. Starting the car is more expensive than buying from them. One bad product was a USB HD case -'IBM' branded - psu giving out 6.66V instead of 5v/12V to the hard drive. RMA'ed them and they said they will send a replacement for $6 to cover the postage. I said no thanks ( it is 8 weeks down the line since I received the product and I did not bother to use it same time) and they offered my money back. Overall, I am happy with them. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
