In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, robotworkshop wrote: I assume you may want to use the adapter for programming OEM basic Stamp chips and also for use as a general purpose driver so you can use an I/O pin on the OEM Stamp or the SX20, SX28, SX48 chips as a general purpose serial port. The easiest way is to use a MAX232 (or MAX3232) chip as the line driver. You just need the chip and four caps. For the DB9 connection used for programming a BASIC Stamp just reference the BS2p40 schematic which shows where the extra caps go to reset the module for programming. When using it as a general purpose serial connector all you need to connect is the ground along with the RX or TX lines. If you want USB connectivity look at the Prop Plug. That can be used as well. ---------- End of Message ---------- You can view the post on-line at: http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=7&p=1&m=359046#m359056 Need assistance?
