So I guess in this case it treats the 'home' as a host name instead of a directory name and as the protocol file:// does not know anything about passwords and host names it just cuts it off and passes the rest: Index of file://user:password@home/ Show hidden objects Name Size Last Modified bin 04/05/09 22:23:55 boot 19/05/09 19:58:19 cdrom 04/05/09 21:37:45 dev 28/05/09 18:24:06 etc ............(and so on) And yes, file://user:password@home/home lists my home dir...
