OTOH, The main reason to report bugs to a vendor is so that the NEXT revision of their code you incorporate into your products doesn't have the same bugs. Having a "local patch list" for purchased software gets to really suck, pretty quickly... (not applicable if you've already said "Argh; we're never using this awful thing again!", of course.)
