I even saw one advertised as a "as seen on TV" product, that was a bit odd. I'm not sure why the masses need Dictaphones. (Huh, Outlook capitalises Dictaphone, must be a brand name) Many MP3 players record audio as well, but they may not be quite what you want. You can't record for a couple of minutes, rewind 30 seconds and start recording again. Googling ''voice recorder" with portable, personal or digital might turn up something.
