I have to agree on some feature, the C18 doesn't looks like a professional tool at all. However, if you are building USB and Ethernet applications, the C18 is your best bet if you would like to re-use most of the accumulated USB codes posted by Microchip. There is a few USB port from C18 to PICC18. But that doesn't get rid of the pain too much. Funny N.
