You're in an oddly crabby mood, and even more odd you don't seem to read posts before responding. It's rather clear to me that the OP is trying to build the C30 compiler (under Ubuntu, which IS relavent) and is having problems with seemingly normal code getting through without errors. This is clearly PIC (getting PIC compilers operating on other OSs is appropriate for the PIC tag). It seems the word "Linux" threw you into some mode, next time please don't bother wasting the list's time with it.
