Hi All, I'm working on adding a external power supply to a current battery powered product. Space is very tight, so I am going for something simple. Two schottky diodes In a wired 'OR' configuration (one on the battery +ve, one on the external supply +ve). Am I going to have problems with the high reverse leakage current if the unit is powered from the external supply with the batteries connected? (diode in question is a 1N5818) According to the spec sheet, reverse leakage current can vary from 1mA@25C upto 100mA@100C. The unit runs from a single 9V PP3. Ideas? Thoughts Comments?
