I've noticed that many people overlook a simple setting that is present in most digital cameras, and get pictures that look out of focus, for example: > http://home.fuse.net/theannos/heat.html The setting is called "macro mode", and it's usually represented by a "flower" icon. Combined with good lighting, you can get pictures that look like this: http://maksimov.org/piclist/macro_mode/IMG_0438.jpg The picture was taken with a cheap digital camera, without the use of a tripod.
