I use hibernation for both Windows and Linux - with XP I do not use BT nor wifi, but other than that I must say it works great. I was using Vista for a while as well, that was even better in terms of hibernation and sleep mode - it had also a sleep mode where it also created the hibernation file, so if there was a power cut it could still come back with the hibernation file, but if not it just woke up quickly. With Linux there are some minor problems with these but generally works great and have no problems with wifi or BT.
