check your data sheet for how much amperage you need.. a PIC usually needs about 250 mA but i mean .5 A is probably sufficient in most cases. Just get a a wall wart that's at about the voltage you need and buy a 5 V voltage-regulator from radio shack. http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/category/480/Power-Supplies/1.html... the first one shown here will work fine. Although beware wall warts are typically not very accurate to the voltage they claim(i've found 10 V coming out of a 5 V wall wart) so I'd grab a voltage regulator to make sure it's accurate. 1 A should be fine for you.
