Actually, In my job for the ISP, we use FreeBSD (my choice - being CTO has it's advantages), but we're mainly just running mail and web, dns, and a few other servers. In fact, we don't have a single Windows box on the server side. Lots of XP on the desktop though. We do have some CentOS penguins running as well for Asterisk. In my experimenting on the Linux desktop side, I've always just run ubuntu, ever since I started using it as a result of it coming "out of the box" with EMC2... I really like how it just installs and works on most hardware. I also like wubi to get it going on a windows box. But I also haven't been paying attention to the other distros either since I discovered ubuntu. So, tell me about the out-of-the-box debian experience... -forrest -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
