I have no problems with transparencies (I use them when I do photoresist boards). Never melted one - I use generic Staples laserjet transparencies. Does produce spotty results sometimes though, especially in flooded areas. Nothing a permanent marker doesn't fix though. I have a brother laser and have had no success with the TT method. My issue has been finding the right sort of paper to print on because the glossy stuff sometimes melts, and 'warps' in such a way that straight traces are no longer straight. I have even tried a special product designed for TT, but it warped as well... I have thus settled on doing a transparency method using an ink-jet (because the brother laser 'melts' even the 'laser-jet' transparencies I have found).... So, I have had little success with it, but, on the other hand, I have found that the transparency/photo-resist/UV method has been OK....
