So far what Funny has said doesn't completely turn me off. I agree with Xiaofan that the Pickit2 has grown a lot over its life, and I wonder if I go for the 2, will I miss out with something on the 3. One thing I don't see is where you're finding the 3 for less price than the 2. I've found the 3 at about twice the price of the 2.
