I can access via POP3 to the "free" mail only using dedicated number access (this was ok when I used 64k modem). Now I have an ADSL connection with another provider and this isn't permitted: basically, now I can acces to the old mail only by web interface. In order to avoid this, the old provider offer a "payment" mail with better features than the "free" version and that hasn't POP3 access limitations: but I don't like this... The solution I thik now is to get a new free mail account from my actual ADSL provider and to redirect this to GMail. Sorry for the late reply, I was out of home.
