My old house in Rhode Island is now about 140 years old, and I remember just this thing as a kid, watching my grandfather shave with a cutthroat... "but where does the blade go when you put it in there?" When I got old enough to realize that it went nowhere, I decided that I was never going to remodel that house myself. Then again, after so many years of moisture in the walls, I honestly wonder if I'd find anything other than iron oxide powder if I opened it up. On Thu, Feb 19, 2009 at 5:56 AM, M.
