Imho trade those posts in and get a modular system with better characteristics. I'd be looking for posts that ensure that nothing can short the exposed contacts (elastic or spring loaded cover), one which has the contacts recessed from the wall surface so they cannot be shaven off or pushed in by pushing some furniture past it, and that allow solder-less assembly on the inside too.
